About

Hello and welcome to Sensorium Emporium!

We are Joya and Mel and we work in the games industry. In our spare time, we like to cosplay and make things with our hands (go analog) thus we decided to create a website dedicated to our craft!

Our store debuted at FanimeCon 2012 in the Artist Alley and it was a great success. Career constraints may make it impossible for us to make this a repeat booth, but we had a lot of fun and may continue to do some work as a hobby via the interwebs.

Okay, now a little more about us:

Name: Joya
Occupation: Digital Artist
Hobbies: Gaming, Crafts, Hydroponics, Reading, and Vinyl Toy Collecting

I have 5 years experience in the VFX and Gaming industry where I’ve been everything from a rotoscope artist, motion tracker, rigger, modeler, FX artist, previs artist, texture artist, concept artist and an UI/UX designer. You can say I wear many hats. The most ridiculous project I’ve worked on was SHARK NIGHT 3D. Though it wasn’t the best film, I loved having to model, texture, and simulate realistic fish heads for the sharks to rip apart. Hilarity, I tell you.

Name: Mel
Occupation: Community Manager & Video Game Producer
Hobbies: Singing, Acting, Composing, Reading, Gaming

I’ve about 4 years of experience in the gaming industry in a variety of roles. My interest is primarily in live game operations, in the metrics on how games tick, and figuring out ways to improve those metrics and various user experiences. I’ve worked on a lot of titles in the F2P industry, and am enjoying my latest stint with Joya at nWay, working on an awesome aRPG called ChronoBlade.
